All About: How to Hunt Ghost
Paranormal Investigation Equipment Essentials
The voice recorder is an extremely essential tool in evp recordings. The recorder gives you the ability to take audio, and if your luck, a chance to catch a EVP. These types of audio anomalies generally called electronic voice phenomenon are probably the most substantial ghost and spirit evidencethere is. Even though some will contend that they are nothing more than other people within the groups talking, paranormal investigators and those you do the EVP work will put up that audio sessions are done during a highly professional manner, and all of team members are included during audio work. Many of these groups will have one individual do the talking by having a shut up period for the rest of the group.
I have been reading books about the paranormal since I was presented with a library card in Kindergarten. Through the never-ending variety of books ranging from true campfire ghost tales, professional parapsychologist, demonology/exorcism cases, ghost hunting how-to's, and the latest technology for catching that pesky entity wandering the halls at night I have compiled a list of the best of the best. Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned investigator each of these books will add a useful element to your investigative arsenal.
Relax it's only a ghost
This inspiring book by Author Echo Bodine is an easy yet informative read. She outlines her personal experiences as a psychic healer and offers guidelines with each chapter in her book to sum up the moral of each case. She begins this book (like all her books) with a brief history on how she became a world renowned psychic medium and healer. As she dives into some of her favorite cases she offers the reader a different perspective by focusing on information that came directly from the ghost. It's a refreshing book for those who fear the idea of hauntings and brings it down to the human level.

How to Hunt Ghosts a Practical Guide
Joshua Warren is a master of ghost hunting technology. With this book he describes the many tools and tricks of the trade. He covers several investigative devices and techniques and also shows you what to look for in quality and price for each individual tool. The best part is that Joshua addressed the natural environment such as the weather, sun, moon, and how each of these impact a haunting. This how-to was a delight to read because Joshua wrote this book in everyday language and refrained from the scientific terminology that tends to confuse and discourage your beginning ghost hunter. This book is chock full of resources and offers clarity to the technological aspect of investigations.

Ghost Hunters
This book is written by a husband and wife team of demonologists. Their professional cases range from the horrific to the unthinkable. This read will definitely outline the dangers of paranormal investigating but, also outlines ways to protect one's self from malevolent entities. Ed and Lorraine Warren are considered to be pioneers in the supernatural investigative field. They have also worked on famous cases that have inspired major motion pictures; such as The Lutzs' Family's nightmare in Amityville and the true story by "The Haunting in Connecticut." Although their job is thrilling; the fact is we are fortunate to read their extraordinary cases of what I call "the dirty work of the supernatural."

Meet & Work with Spirit Guides
What does this have to do with investigating you ask? Well, in my professional opinion, a lot! Even if you have no interest in communicating with spirits guides, this book will walk you through how to develop your intuition. This is crucial to have during investigations. You know the "gut feeling" you get when something just isn't right. Or perhaps you are interviewing someone who believes their house is haunted but you can tell they aren't telling the whole story. That extrasensory perception can be developed just like any other skill and this book is an excellent instructional guide.

City Ghosts
This book is a useful one to take with you during trips or, perhaps plan an entire vacation around it. It lists hundreds of haunted locations in the United States and adds a brief history with each chilling location. It's interesting that each section of the book is divided into different regions of the U.S. Northeast, The Midwest, The Southeast, etc. Some of the stories are met with humor and lighthearted fun to make for a well-rounded reading experience. So if you get a chance slip this into your travel bag and don't take the authors word for it. See these haunted locations for yourself.
"City Ghosts" Mary Beth Sammons & Robert Edwards
Each of these books have allowed me to fine-tune my own investigations. I've learned new techniques, how to protect myself, and discarded some of the old methods and integrated some fresh ideas. Investigating ghosts is not all glitz and glamour and it's not always thrilling. This field requires passion, dedication, and a ton of common sense. Whichever way you chose to investigate, remember, being a ghost hunter isn't about you, it's about helping others that need your services. Learn as much as you can before you investigate and stay true to what works for you and your investigative team thus, achieving great success.

That is a voice recorder and a camera. The camera doesn't need to be a digital version, but can be a 35mm, but I might suggest if you're using a 35mm film to use 400 speed or higher. The advantage of a digital is the quantity of pictures, with the plus of a SD card, could be stored on your camera. And in case you have the available screen on your camera to review pictures, this will give you ability to review some of your pictures right at that moment on the investigation. Granted it may be hard to find anomalies on such a small screen, and you may be able to determine mysterious objects, to which you'll be able to debunk right on the spot.
These 2 kinds of equipment are essential and the basics of your ghost hunting gear. You may put a easy and inexpensive tool that can be used for discovering potential ghosts, they are commonly called Dowsing rods. You might be able to pick-up a decent pair of these for around 5 bucks or as high as $ 60. These are great in case you cannot afford to purchase a EMF detector, or a digital thermometer. .
{What Do You Need to Hunt Ghosts?
A lot of people feel that they will need tons of expensive paranormal equipment to visit ghost hunter. That is not true. Yes, having costly hi-tech ghost hunting gear could increase your chances of capturing some historical ghostly evidence, but ghost hunting could be completed with few devices.
